At the last monthly meeting I asked for a show of hands for people who might be interested in a day trip to Cambridge in May, with many showing they would like this.  The committee have therefore now booked a coach for Friday 8th May, cost £14 each.  The coach will leave from Asda bus stop at 9.30am and then also pick up at the railway station bus stop at 9.40am, returning to SWF for 5.30pm  There will be a toilet on board!

Cambridge is a lovely city to walk around and you can visit the famous Kings College chapel, the Fitzwilliam museum and a lively market. There are lovely riverside pubs and I can recommend a trip on a punt, which goes along the back of the colleges with the boatmen very knowledgeable about the history.  If you fancy the Botanical Gardens, these are a 15 minute walk from the city centre.

We shall start selling places at the February meeting so we can have some idea of the take up and whether we need to open it up wider than to just our U3A to fill the coach.  Payment please on booking either by cash or bank transfer. Cost £14 per person
